Flying has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was 3 years old, I have been fascinated by airplanes, aviation, and everything about flying. Growing up in Costa Rica, becoming a pilot felt like a dream that was far away, but I never gave up on it.
At 17, I enrolled in flight training and began pursuing aviation seriously. Like many aspiring pilots, financial challenges delayed my journey for years, but that experience shaped who I am today as an instructor. I understand what it feels like to work hard for every hour, every lesson, and every milestone. Because of that, I genuinely care about helping my students train efficiently, confidently, and without wasting time or money.
In 2018, I moved to California to fully immerse myself in aviation and have been flying throughout the Los Angeles area ever since. Today, I am a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), Commercial Pilot, Multi-Engine Pilot, Instrument-Rated Pilot, and Mission Pilot/Instructor with the Civil Air Patrol, i.e., the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary. I actively participate in cadet orientation flights, mountain flying, search-and-rescue missions, and advanced training operations.
I have experience flying aircraft, including the Cessna 152, 172, 182T, 206 Turbo, Piper PA-28, PA-32, PA-23, and Beechcraft BE33. More importantly, I focus on teaching real-world flying skills that create safe, capable, and confident pilots, not just students who can pass a checkride.
My teaching style is calm, safety-focused, and highly personalized. Whether you are starting from zero experience or working toward advanced ratings, my goal is to help you become the kind of pilot who is truly prepared and proficient in the real world. I take pride in creating an environment where students feel supported, challenged, and motivated while always keeping safety as the top priority.
Aviation changed my life, and I love helping others achieve goals they once thought were impossible. If you are ready to start your journey, I would be honored to help guide you every step of the way.
